The Power Belongs To God

God raised up Samson for the purpose of destroying His enemies. There is a different between lust and love. God wired us to find other people attractive. If we do not move beyond the attraction stage, we are acting selfishly. Looks are temporary, superficial, and we should not base love on looks alone. God gives people the opportunity to make choices and our choices work directly into God's plan. Things do not happen to you if you are a Christian, they happen for you. We do not always know what God is doing, but it is for His glory. Samson was being careless when he touched and ate out of the lion’s dead carcass. In Leviticus chapter 11, Israelites are not remain clean and not touch a dead animal, Samson did not obey this command. The Philistines, like all of us apart from Christ, are hostile against God and deserve death. If we want to know right from wrong, seek God in His word. Sin is not okay, it has consequences. God is able to use people despite their failures and sin. If God only used perfect people, He would only use Jesus Christ. The power and glory belong to God.
