Jesus, the Man of Prayer

Jesus' discourse in chapters 14-16 concludes in a wonderful way. He encouraged His Disciples, saying "be of good cheer". Jesus always has a good word for His people. He anticipated His suffering unto death and HIs victory over sin for them as their Substitute. Then, He turned His eyes toward heaven. With death looming, how can Jesus give a good word? He knows His work and prayer are efficacious. He cannot fail; His elect cannot be lost.
