Consider Him

These are weighty verses. Truth and emotion fill the thoughts. The world of athletic competition is the metaphor used to convey the point. The truth looks back to believers of the past and calls the faithful to look forward. The key is in these words: "Looking unto Jesus...Consider Him". He endured despicable torture in His soul and body to become the "finisher" of the faith. By that single accomplishment, God saved and delivered His elect.
