God Hates the Proud

Does God hate pride, or does He hate the proud? He hates both. According to this scripture, the proud in heart are an abomination to the Lord and will not go unpunished. Abomination is one of the strongest terms the Bible has to describe God's loathing. Other passages specifically say that God hates sinners in addition to hating their sins. Because of this hatred, we should be very fearful of a proud heart and seek the Lord for a humble spirit.
