He is Altogether Lovely
Series The Sayings of the Savior
42
The Song of Solomon or Song of Songs, inspired by the Holy Spirit came by the hand of King Solomon. It tells of the beauties of Christ. It has two principal characters: the groom, a type of Christ and the bride, a type of the church. She is describing the superiority and dignity of the one she loves. It is a picture of Christ. She can't help but exclaim "He is Altogether Lovely". As she brags on her love, so we brag on Christ. What a Savior!
