Esther comes on the scene

So chapter one set up the problem at hand, Vashti said no and is no longer queen. Chapter two opens two or three years later after his war with Greece was over and he lost. He wanted comfort from his wife but that couldn't happen so the search began for a new queen. While God is not mentioned at all in this book He is shown to be at work throughout it. A Jewish girl is part of the group rounded up as a potential candidate to be the new queen. Now that she has come on the scene we are told some details about Esther's life.
