Great Expectations and a Call to Prayer for Revival

In some parts of the Church expectations are high but in the wrong direction. In other parts of the Church (perhaps especially in reformed circles) expectations tend to be too low. What does the Bible teach us to expect and how should that affect our prayer lives?
