Our Western countries seek to be liberated from the influence of Christian teaching but are becoming more and more dysfunctional and legalistic. This should send us back to the nature of the law God gave Israel, and us, and to see how it is rooted in a relationship of grace. Only this can set us free to be the kind of people who love God’s law and build thriving communities.
