I. Righteousness by Law or Grace 5-8

A.  Paul goes to the OT to prove his point.

    1.  Deuteronomy 9:4-6

    2.  Deuteronomy 30:11-14  (see also verse 6)

    3.  Leviticus 18:5

B.  Paul “preaches” these verses

    1.  v. 5 -- You can not be saved by law-keeping
        
    2.  v. 6-8 – The Word is Near You 
    

II. Believe and Confess 9-11

A.  Believe in your Heart

    1.  Believe in His Lordship “Jesus is Lord”
    
        Phil. 2:8-11
        Jesus is Lord – to the glory of God the Father.

    2.  Believe in His Resurrection

Calvin The resurrection alone is often set before us as the assurance of our salvation, not to draw our attention away from his death, but because it bears witness to the efficacy and fruit of his death.”
Eph. 1:17-23

B.  Confess with your Mouth
