The Word of God instructs the parents to “train up the child in the way he should go” not “facilitate the child in the way he is going”. All children are born foolish and as such they are going in the wrong direction. In this lecture Rev. Mahon instructs on the proper use of the rod in changing the direction of the foolish child.
