    After Knox's death, opposition lead by Andrew Melville. The ‘Black Acts'

  2. The Great Charter of Presbytery 1592.
    Recognition of Presbyterianism by Parliament

  3. The resurgence of Episcopacy 1607-1618.
    ‘Perpetual Moderators' become bishops. Articles of Perth (1618) strengthen episcopacy.

  4. The attack on Reformed worship 1634-35.
    Charles I continues attack on the Reformed Church.

  5. Jenny Gedes' stool 1637.
    Epitomises widespread resistance to Anglican liturgy. The ‘Four Tables'.

  6. The National Covenant of Scotland 1638.
    Includes the ‘King's Covenant' of 1580-81, legal section by Lord Warriston and Section of application by Henderson. Signing at Greyfriars Church.
