God Rescues and Blesses Ishmael

Hagar & Ishmael are lost & nigh unto death, but God rescues them for the sake of Abraham & establishes Ishmael as the progenitor of a nation. We are warned against the religiosity of Hagar - the religion of the unconverted. We are encouraged to realize that by our true religion, we bring blessing to others, even as Abraham brought blessing to Ishmael even though he was not among the elect.
