The Fourfold Exaltation of Christ

"Christ's exaltation consisteth in his rising again from the dead on the third day, in ascending up into heaven, in sitting at the right hand of God the Father, and in coming to judge the world at the last day."
No theology of Christ is consistent or correct unless the humiliation and exaltation of Christ are held together. Luke 24,26.

1. His resurrection: a truth founded on historical fact.
2. The ascension: Christ was taken up into heaven.
3. His glorification: "sitting at the right hand of the Father".
4. His return: He will come with observation; He will come suddenly; He will come appropriately; He will come terribly; He will come gloriously.
   Application of this doctrine to believers and unbelievers.
