Uncle Laban

Laban is Jacob's mother's brother, and he become Jacob's employer and father-in-law.

As with Bethuel's daughter, Rebekah, so with Bethuel's son, Laban, we see the sinful patterns of deception and fraud played out in the next generation, as Jacob's own sins are visited on him in his dealings with Uncle Laban.

There is only one hero in history: the Lord Jesus Christ; all other historical figures have character flaws.
