Too often people seek for spiritual benefits and blessings for participating in the Lord's Supper. While often there are blessings when one partakes of the Lord's Supper, this is not the purpose of it. The purpose of the Lord's Supper is for the congregation to show (proclaim) the Lord's death until He comes.
