The Doctrine of Fellowship 2
Series The Doctrine of Fellowship
21
- Fellowship is our responsibility to challenge each other to holiness.
a. Fellowship opens the door to know what each of us need (Psalm 41:1-10)
b. Thinking carefully about one another binds us all together under God's divine protection.
• God protects all those who live in obedience.
• God blesses all those who live in obedience.
• God sustains and restores all those who live in obedience.
i. When we don't think carefully about one another, it exposes us to the harshness of the world.
• We are exposed to the harsh lies of the world.
• We are exposed to the shallow empathy and counsel of others.
• We are exposed to the breach of confidence by those in whom we trust.
• We are exposed to the worst defamation imaginable.
ii. when we don't think carefully about one another, it isolates us from those we care for most.
• Isolation opens the door for misunderstanding what God is doing.
• Isolation opens the door for a breach of genuine fellowship.
• Isolation solidifies wrong thinking.
