An Introduction to Revelation: Revelation 1:1-19

Purpose: John wrote this section of scripture in obedience to Christ to give His final words to the church anticipating His immanent return. These words were meant to encourage seven troubled churches to hold fast to truth and faithfully serve Christ as they anticipated His return.
Proposition: God wants us to hold fast and serve Him faithfully as we anticipate the return of Christ.
