Few messages address the long conversation between Job and his three friends. This conversation takes up many chapters in Scripture for a reason: Job's friends are well meaning believers that have a really bad theology. Their view of God's justice and punishment of sin is very much like Buddhism in modern Cambodian thought. Job's friends, as well as all of us today, need to have the right view of the timing of God's justice. We all need the right view of suffering and trials in this life. Hinduism and Buddhism try to find a solution through the belief of reincarnation. The Bible has other answers--truth--versus man's attempt to explain what he cannot understand.
