Jacob Secures Peace with Laban

God's presence with Jacob is assured in the face of opposition from Laban's family. As the situation deteriorates, God commands Jacob to return to the land of his fathers. God's arm of protection is shown as the eventual confrontation with Laban is worsened by the theft of his family idols. Reflecting what had occurred with Abraham and Jacob, sin resulting from a lack of faith is used to God's glory.
