Kingdom Contrasts

Jesus rejoiced that the Father chose to reveal truth to spiritual children but concealed them from the "wise and intelligent," referring to the scribes and Pharisees. Overhearing this, a lawyer (a scribe) sought to catch Him in an error that might be used to condemn Him. Thus, he asked, "What shall I do to inherit eternal life?" (Luke 10:25). Jesus responded by pointing him to the commandments. There are two issued about this that modern Christian readers miss. They are explained in this message.
