6. The Crucified Lamb Reigns (notes only)

Christ's authority is not apparent to sight. Far from it. But Jesus and the apostles insist that he has total authority over our world and its future. But he reigns in his character as crucified Lamb. We must see his authority as the triumph of love. And because we have felt the power of that love—in forgiveness—we already have the flavour and feel of the age to come.
