We can't miss this: they were so out of step and out of tune with God, being in step with their own ways and everything but God, they couldn't see, recognize or hold themselves or others accountable because they were so far from Him and out step with Him they could only reply to what God said with: IN WHAT WAY or WHEREIN or what's wrong with that?

7 Times their response to God's scathing rebuke is: IN WHAT WAY, WE DON'T SEE IT, BUT IF YOU SAY SO, BOSS

1. 1:2 misrepresenting God's love
2. 1:6 misrepresenting His name
3. 1:7 misrepresenting His offering
4. 2:17 misrepresenting goodness and grace
5. 3:7 misrepresenting His ways
6. 3:8 misrepresenting His blessings
7. 3:13 misrepresenting the value and blessings that overflow in serving God.

What's going on with them and their witness?

Disputed/Denying God's Love (2 Corinthians 5:13-21)
(Therefore, they go to Defending their Feelings and their Rights like Esau(in their dialogue)

Despised God's Name and Nature (an altar was to bring glory to god, His gracious goodness and glorious character, the cross is His altar where we lay our lives a living sacrifices )

Defiled Gods table (not worth it, fellowship and intimacy was not prized, abiding by faith in the Vine)

Devalued God's Word (21-9)

Deserted their Wives (2:10-16)

Diminished God glory in Marriage (2:16)

Distorted Gods word (2:17 ; 3:1-7)

Deprived Gods house and people (3:1-12)

Degraded God's work (2:13-15)
