False teachers crave controversy, money, and material things. Paul gives a warning for materialism and posessions in this passage. Be content with Christ. It's not about what you can get from Jesus. Love Christ because of who He is, not what you can get from Him.

Possessions are deceptive and dangerous—they destroy. You fall into sin when your soul is not satisfied in God.
