Sermon Point: Grasp God’s empowering grace.
Sermon Outline:

1. Like ancient Israel, you are on the verge of entering your promised land.
2. Older experienced leaders step aside so that younger men and women can use their gifts (Deut. 31:1-2).
3. Remember, the Lord will guide both you and your young leaders, those whom He appoints (Deut. 31:3).
4. You have a personal history, which validates this claim (Deut. 31:4-5).
5. And so, grasp the empowering grace of God using His means, the Word and prayer (Deut. 31:6).
6. Grasp the empowering grace of God in His means, the sacraments (Deut. 31:7-8).
