Perfected, or Perfecting Holiness - which?

This verse is an applicatory point to the verses in chapter 6, verses 14 to 18.

1. The task: "cleanse ourselves".
2. The goal: "perfecting holiness".
3. Encouragements to this duty: 1 The promises, "having therefore these promises - 'I will dwell in them, I will be their God, I will receive you'. 2 The fear of God. Remember Joseph, "How shall I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" Genesis 39 verse 9.
