The kindness of God!

"And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?"

David's gesture of kindness to Mephibosheth has much more to teach us than mere benevolence to a man crippled in childhood. David's action reflects the kindness which God shows to sinners in the gospel of grace.
