God's Chastening of a Nation

Habakkuk had been praying that God would intervene to save the nation from its violence, iniquity, wickedness, strife and injustice. God's answer shocked him. God would send the even more evil Chaldeans to chasten them. There are parallels of this in our own time. We have prayed for decades concerning our own nations evils, and God has now given His answer: Judgment. Our hope must be in God, not political reform.
