The Word of Affection - Series on Seven Sayings

In this 3rd word from the cross – this third saying of our Saviour from the cross we have the human side of our Lord.
I know there are eternal depths and infinite purposes in the plan of redemption - it will take all eternity to plummet their depths and I know they are the central themes of redemption.
But the sufferings of Christ were for real people and none were more real than those who stood around the cross, weeping.
Note who were there: 4 women v25 3 named Mary and the wife of Cleophas - who may have been brother to Joseph.
Note who were not there: None of the disciples but John the beloved – writer of this gospel.
