The Bible is a book about God. God is the central actor in the Bible and he is the central person in the book of Jonah. The book of Jonah is the greatest concentration of supernatural activity in the Bible. There is a strong emphasis on foriegn missions. Alas, some of us are more like Jonah than we think. He was increasingly selfish for one thing. God is still the pursuing God just as he was in Jonah's day.
