What Kind of Neighbor am I?

An expert in the Jewish law asks Jesus what he needs to do to inherit eternal life. When Jesus tells him to love his neighbor as himself, he asks Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" Jesus tells him the parable of the Good Samaritan, where the Samaritans were despised by the Jews and in this parable the Samaritan was the only one who showed mercy to a robbery victim. Our question is likewise, who is our neighbor and how are we going to show love and mercy to that neighbor.
