To Harold Camping & Other False Prophets: 99 Reasons Why No One Knows Jesus Return

92 ( 78 | 14 )

False prophets have predicted the return of Jesus Christ since shortly after His death & resurrection. The same old "return of Christ" lies concerning a specific date on the calendar continue to go on even today but with new twists that help false prophets make money off their book sales to the gullible. Lying prophets such as Harold Camping with his bestselling book "1994?" & Edgar C. Whisenant's 4.5 million bestseller "Eighty-eight Reasons Why the Rapture Will Be in 1988" (& when that failed he came out with another book the following year that also sold many copies called "The Final Shout: Rapture Report 1989) continually make their money by setting false dates. Setting false dates for Armageddon & the Return of Christ have helped many cultic religions such as Jehovah's Witnesses (see our YOUTUBE series "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES: DECEIVED DECEIVERS"), the Mormons, Seventh-Day Adventists & many others (see "RISE OF THE CULTS: WHERE DID ALL THESE AMERICAN CULTS COME FROM" by Larry Wessels) gain followers & money. The phony Word-Faith TV preachers on the Trinity Broadcasting Network are just as guilty (John Hinkle predicted June 9, 1994 on TBN's broadcast with Paul Crouch's full blessing, see our 5 hour series "THE AGONY OF THE PHONY WORD-FAITH TV PREACHERS" with on YOUTUBE).

With every failed forecast, however, a trail of people is left behind, people who become disillusioned with Christ & Christianity. How can this be stopped? By understanding the clear, biblical teaching that Christ will return - but no one knows when! Christians need to discern false prophecy & not be deceived by predictions of what is to happen by "prophets" seeking "filthy lucre" (Titus 1:7,11).
