• In John chapters 5 and 6, the Jewish leaders
  begin to openly oppose Jesus
• Jesus' claim to be God was the source for every
  attack against him
• Jesus' healing on the Sabbath was used by leaders
  to bring a "criminal" charge against Christ to
  try and discredit him
• Jesus listed four witnesses testifying to his
  messiahship and deity:
