ANSWERED PRAYERS AND SOUNDING TRUMPETS, PART 4: THE HEAVENLY BEINGS
TEXT: REVELATION 8:13

SUMMARY OF CHAPTER 8: Chapter eight ... reveals events from several points of view as God oversees His perfect plan. As the trumpets are sounded, the saints are constant in their prayers, worldlings are confounded in their sins, and the heavenly beings are confident in their Master’s cause.

I. THE SAINTS ARE CONSTANT IN THEIR PRAYERS, VV. 1-5.

II. WORLDLINGS ARE CONFOUNDED IN THEIR SINS, VV. 6-12.

III. THE HEAVENLY BEINGS ARE CONSUMED BY THEIR MASTER’S CAUSE, V. 13. The heavenly beings who live in God’s presence, like man, are made for heavenly service, but because of their nature and circumstances, they perfectly obey, serve, and believe their Creator.

A. They Obey Implicitly. “saying with a loud voice.” [im·plic·it (¹m-pl¹s“¹t) adj. 1. Implied or understood though not directly expressed. 2. Contained in the nature of something though not readily apparent. 3. Having no doubts or reservations; unquestioning.]

B. They Serve Expeditiously. “flying.” [ex·pe·di·tious (µk”sp¹-d¹sh“…s) adj. Acting or done with speed and efficiency.]

C. They Believe Unquestioningly. “about to sound.”
