The Sinner's Best Friend

There is a false notion in the religious community today; an idea that Christ died for "good" people, that He came to call and heal those who are not sick. But grace is for sinners, the covenant of mercy is for outcasts, lawbreakers, and God haters. Thank God that our two texts tell us of one who suffered beyond our imaginations, who endured wrath beyond comprehension, but who in doing so endued to Himself the marvelous title, "the friend of publicans and sinners".
