Memory Verse: Acts 2:41
Day 1: Read 1 Thess 1:2-4, Col 3:17, Jam 2:18, Eph 1:4 How did Paul acknowledge the Thessalonians' efforts in their prayer to God? How much of what we do is to be to the glory of God? Why would this be difficult as believers to adhere to? What relationship does works have with our faith? Do works in relationship to faith generate or manifest an inward godly righteousness? Why is it important that what we do as believers corresponds to what we are called to?
Day 2: Read 1 Thess 1:5-6, Phil 1:27 How was Paul's life characterized by the Gospel? Does a believer need to be an evangelist to have his life characterized by the Gospel? How does your life show your level of stewardship of the Gospel?
Day 3: Read 1 Thess 1:7-10, Gal 2:20, 2 Cor 4:10, Col 3:1-3 How is the crucified life evidence of the new life in Christ? How is this modeled in Christ? In us? What is the difference between sounding our faith outward versus sounding our faith in an echo chamber? Where should our focus be as we live out our faith on earth?
