Seventh-day Adventism Is Based On The Plagerized Writings Of Ellen G. White

The special guest in this presentation is J. Mark Martin, a former Seventh-Day Adventist & the author of the booklet, "Seventh-Day Adventism and the Writings of Ellen G. White"; his website is EXADVENTIST COM. Mr. Martin is senior pastor of Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, AZ, a Calvary Chapel. Pastor Mark received a B.A. in theology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California and for six years pastored in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 1982, the Adventist Church became indignant as Mark began to teach God's grace rather than works for salvation (Ephesians 2:8-10) & thus he was forced to resign and was ostracized from the church.
Adventism is a product of the great religious revivals that regularly swept through America, especially in certain districts of New England & New York, in the early nineteenth century. Throughout the late 1840s & into the early 1860s the Seventh-day Adventist "prophetess" Ellen G. White claimed to have "visions" from God & became known as a "Messenger" from God. Later in life she claimed to have visits from angels who told her what to write (this was later found to be false since she copied material from other writers in her books).
Ellen G. White & her husband were leaders of this new religious group which became incorporated in 1861 as the Seventh-day Adventist Church which had its headquaters in Battle Creek, Michigan. Ellen White died in 1915 at the age of 87, elevated by her followers as a divinely inspired "prophetess" speaking for God (see SDA publication, "Review & Herald," page 11), but never having seen the coming of Christ as she had falsely predicted for decades.
