Pergamum

As one of the main locations of Roman Imperial rule and religion, Pergamum placed many pressures on Christians to deny Christ and compromise their faith. On the outside the church in Pergamum had endured faithfully. But, often our outward testimony betrays a personal and spiritual compromise to the cultural pressures of the world, which denies our faith in Christ in all but word.
