A Call For Godly Leaders

Leadership matters. Without wise leadership, says Proverbs, an entire nation can fall. In families, in business, in government… leadership matters. This is also true in churches. It’s been said that churches seldom progress beyond the spiritual maturity of their leaders. Do you agree? God places much emphasis on the character of those who serve as Christ’s under-shepherds in the local church. A church’s elders are charged with feeding, protecting and leading God’s people spiritually. It is imperative that the elders themselves are close followers of Jesus Christ in observable, measurable ways.
