God is not mocked! He who has warned of judgement will at last judge! Jeremiah had for years warned about the results of Jerusalem's sin, and at last the rebellious city fell to the Babylonians. God's word was fulfilled in judgement. Yet judgement is not the last word, the last word is God's grace towards his faithful people.
