A resolution in redemption

As David concludes his song and sermon, he drives home the key lessons and the pointed contrasts of the whole. He speaks of the deliverance of the righteous, acknowledging that they will be much afflicted but rescued by God, who will guard them to the end. He speaks of the destruction of the wicked, who are caught in their own deceit and violence and brought at last to judgment. He speaks of the redemption of the Lord, who keeps those who belong to him, and secures them now and always, so that they are now safe and must be happy.
