Who, Really, Was St. Patrick?

867 ( 581 | 286 )

Sermon: --- Who, Really, Was St. Patrick? Dr. Kennedy examines the facts of the life of one of the greatest missionaries who ever lived. He built over 300 churches. He found Ireland totally pagan and left it resoundingly Christian. Saint Patrick’s favorite text came from Paul in Philippians: “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” It’s appropriate for us to remember the real St. Patrick, who dedicated his life to the proposition that that all of existence only has meaning and significance in Jesus Christ. Feature: --- Theological Liberalism has, since the beginning of the 20th century, been engaged in denying the basic tenets of Christianity, such as the inerrancy of scripture, the Trinity and the bodily resurrection of Christ. Even a great institution like the Southern Baptist Seminary was overtaken by liberalism until Dr. Al Mohler was elected as President. His commitment to reforming the seminary ignited a firestorm of protest among students and faculty. The story is one for the ages.
