John the Baptist: A Shining Witness

Did you ever wonder why you were born in this time period? God has sent you forth to testify in this age! So it was with John the Baptist. We read:

John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
John 1:7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
John 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

God has saved you and filled you with His Holy Spirit, empowering you to be a witness of "That Light" as well.

This is how Paul the Apostle saw it.

2 Cor 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God.

Perhaps you have let your witness go. You no longer boldly proclaim Christ to friends or those you work with.
