Tragedies like the Costa Concordia unveil the true nature of the modern male and the fruits of egalitarian worldviews. The captain abandoned ship, and the Italian crew shoved the pregnant women out of the way as they clambered into the lifeboats. So much for women and children first! Even the secular press was appalled at the behavior of these men. This was not the case with the Titanic. In fact, three men from the steerage who tried to make the Titanic lifeboats in front of women and children were shot! Coincidentally, all three were Italian.

On the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, Kevin Swanson interviews Douglas Phillips on the loss of chivalry and the collapse of civility. Vision Forum and the Christian Boys’ and Men’s Titanic Society are making preparations for the International Centennial Event in Brandon, Missouri, scheduled for April 13-14, 2012 (exactly 100 years after the Titanic went down).
