Rebuilding the Tabernacle of David

The tabernacle of David was a person filled with the Holy Spirit walking in the love of God and obedience to God. That's what made David a man after God's own heart. David was one of the few men who were consistently filled with the Holy Spirit before the day of Pentecost. In fact he may have been the only one who is truly filled with the Holy Spirit prior to John the Baptist and Jesus.

The rebuilding of the tabernacle of David began at the day of Pentecost. The tabernacle of David is the special presence of God (Shekinah glory) through the Holy Spirit in the individual person of every believer. This is the essence of the new covenant. If we will abandon all self-confidence then there will be a never ending supply of His power flowing through us.
