The Good News of God's Righteousness

God has a track record of giving out deserved justice to rebels. So why should we expect God to do any different, now ... when we come along? From the point of view of justice, there's no hope for good news. There's no grounds for good news. And yet there is good news. But you and I will never be astounded at the good news if we don't face that solemn reality of the bad news.

God has never found one positive thing in you that would make Him want to save you ... or me.

The call of salvation is not first and foremost to save you from hell. It's to save you from the wrath of God where God metes out His penalty.
