Resolving Conflict By Waging War

The sad irony of being a believer born again in a fallen world, still with an old nature, with a sin nature that harbors the lusts of the flesh, is that there will be no peace unless we make war. But our problem is we tend to point our guns the wrong way. We aim them at others. We think that they are our problem but James is going to tell us that, no, our problem is our own sinful hearts that must be made to submit to the rule of Christ through the glorious Gospel. We must take our hearts to the cross continually and make war on our own desires if we are to have peace.
