In Good Times and In Bad

Only God knows what is good for us and only God knows our future. Thus, we go to God, not with a litany of questions, but for shelter under His sovereignty and with trembling trust in His goodness. “Consider the work of God: who can make straight what He has made crooked? In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him" (Ecclesiastes 7:14). We cannot figure everything out, but we can trust Him who has designed it and decreed it. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)
