In this Part 3 of our Protestant- Catholic Seminar we will give a Protestant refutation of Roman Catholicism's contention that the pope's supremacy can be traced back in an unbroken line of succession to Peter, who Rome thinks was the bishop of Rome and the first pope. Catholicism thinks that Matthew 16:15-19 is biblical proof for this belief. We will show how Protestant's view this interpretation of Matthew is far fetched and thoroughly unbiblical.
