God Loves His People

This psalm written by David the sweet singer of Israel, a flawed man who trusted in God in spite of his errors and failures. In the early verses of this song we hear the converted sinner declaring the majesty and glory of God but in oiur text we have a different voice, the voice of God, responding to David. Four times in vs. 14-15 God declares "I will" with regard to His servant. God loves all of His covenant people and He intends that we know His love and rest firmly in His love throughout the trials and tragedies of our earthly pilgrimage. It is not unusual for mortals to love one another but here we find God's love declared.
