On Greed and Giving

While most people believe that they have a pretty good grasp of what it means to not
steal, a proper understanding of God's Eighth Commandment encompasses far more of
our day to day lives than what many realize.

1. In Isaiah 58 we see a two-sided expectation for God's people as it relates to
   the Eighth Commandment.

2. In our Catechism both what is forbidden by and what is required in this Eighth
   Commandment is explained.

3. In understanding God's ownership of all things we have the foundation for this
   Eighth Commandment.
